Debussy Pelléas et Mélisande

Prince Golaud finds a mysterious young woman in the forest and delights in making her his wife. A dangerous love triangle emerges as she grows perilously close to his brother, Pelléas.

Director Michael Boyd and Set Designer Tom Piper return with Jac van Steen conducting the Philharmonia Orchestra in its Garsington debut; together they explore Debussy's dream world of shadows and secrets. Garsington Opera takes place in the spectacular Opera Pavilion at Wormsley within the rolling landscape of the Chiltern Hills, less than an hour from London. A quintessentially English experience, Garsington is renowned for its acclaimed opera, leisurely dinner interval and intimate auditorium in a stunning landscape.
